# Why was my identity verification denied?

If your identity verification was denied, our moderation team identified an issue with the documents you submitted. The most common reasons for denial include illegible, incomplete, expired documents, or documents that do not meet verification requirements.
To find out the specific reason for the denial of your verification, go to your account settings, then to the "Account" section, and click on the "Identity Verification" tab. The detailed reason for the denial will be displayed there, allowing you to understand what needs to be corrected.
Once you have noted the reason, you can submit a new verification request making sure to provide documents that meet the requirements. Remember that the required documents are a valid ID (front and back) as well as a selfie of you holding this ID.
